When you measure a foot, especially a child's, the easiest way is to place a piece of paper on the floor and trace around the foot.
If you are buying as a gift and do not have access to the feet in question, then of course use the charts as a guide, and for children, possibly buy a size larger than you think – we all know how fast they can grow.
As our slippers are made with a good snug fit around the ankle it is no problem to have a slightly longer length.
